Potatoes are still a mainstay. Utilizing a continual crop rotation allows for maximized crop production and land fertility utilization. The potatoes are still mostly used locally at the Shearers chip plant, and in other processing facilities throughout Pennsylvania. Over the past few years, we transitioned some land to organic farming. We are growing organic potatoes for Folkland Foods, as well as organic beets as part of our crop rotation.
